Notice: CDBG DR-4317 Application Extension

DED's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program has announced an extension to the CDBG Disaster Recovery (DR) 4317 application cycle.

The previous application deadline of April 16, 2024, has been extended to Friday, May 17, 2024, at 5 p.m. to provide additional time for all interested applicants to prepare their submissions for the disaster funding currently available. All other requirements and guidelines for the grant application remain the same.

CDBG-DR funds are only applicable for proposed projects carried out within one of the five zip codes identified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as "Most Impacted and in Distress" (MID).

These zip codes are as follows:

63935: Doniphan Area
53965: Van Buren Area
64850: Neosho Area
65616: Branson Area
65775: West Plains Area

Eligible projects must be tied to the impacts from severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and floods that occurred during the period of April 28 to May 11, 2017.

Program categories include:

Infrastructure in Support of Affordable Housing
Downpayment Assistance
Local Voluntary Buyout, including Community Rehousing Incentives for Buyouts (CRIB) and Tenant Relocation Assistance (TRA)
Housing Counseling
Homeowner Rehabilitation and Reconstruction
New Multi-Family Housing Leveraged without the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)
